Week four - the Pomegranate

The pomegranate is often a symbol of fertility and is used in treatments for cancer and diabetes.
It is also believed to be the fruit in the garden of Eden, not the apple, and hence brought about the downfall of man.
And as Anna says...
there is the life that comes out of death, or sweetness that comes out of pain and all of that crap, which i've found to be true in my own life at least... and there it is there -- radiating out but constrained, life and rot and perfect symmetry.

  1. Interesting how in the Greek mythology Hades a male deity tricks Persephone which brings about winter whereas the christians flipped it around so Eve is the bad "guy".

  2. Hi Woody, I agree! Before Christians, the ladies were almost trutworthy.
I remember in history at school some fascinating stuff about how 13 came to be an unlucky number and its female history ( 13 women made a ritual etc, became 13 women is a coven of witches) and a matriarchal society became patriarchal.
Eve very possibly was bored as Magnum PI was yet to be invented.
